Ipsy- October Glambag Opening!

Just like Birchbox, Ipsy Glambag is a monthly beauty sample subscription service where you are sent 5 samples of products to 'Try before you buy'. After receiving my first Birchbox and really loving it, I wast sure what to expect for my first Ipsy Glambag. When it arrive it was in the prettiest padded envelope I've ever seen! Clutching the metallic pink envelope in my hand I was very excited to see what I had received! Once I had opened it I was actually really impressed with the samples I got. Not only did I receive a full size eye shadow brush and nail polish, I was really impressed with most of the sizes of samples, they had lots of product in them which is always great because I love to be able to give something a try several times before I know if I really like it or not!
In my Glambag I received:

I loved this colour. I am so happy with the fact I got a full size nail polish.

I really like this shade and it is amazing, it lasted all day long and still looked perfect after eating and drinking!!

Lush Christmas Haul!

Today I took a trip to Lush as my local shop had just received some of it's new Christmas stock! After waiting so patiently to get my hands on the goodies from my favourite time of year it was a beautiful sight when I walked in and saw the sea of Christmas products awaiting me. I didn't try many of the products from last Christmas range but I always seem to love the winter products so much more than any other time of year. They didn't have everything from the range yet but I managed to pick up lots of Christmas bath bombs and a bubble bar but i'm already eagerly ready to go back and get more especially my beloved Rose Jam shower gel! Below is what I picked up!

- Star Dust  Bath Bomb- This is a new release this year and it's one of the slightly cheaper bath bombs, this shimmering white star smells very sweet and floral, it contains vanilla and rose wood, its a very classic Lush scent and I absolutely love it! I cant wait to use this! It also contains bergamot which is a wonderful boost for the mind and body especially after those festive parties!
£2.95/$5.25

- Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bomb- This is a lavender lovers heaven, a returning favourite from last year which I remember using and I loved so I had to pick up another one! It smells very similar to twilight containing the classic lavender oil, perfect for a soothing and relaxing bath. The multi coloured magic foams out creating a brightly coloured bath waters.
£3.95/$6.95

- Dashing Santa Bath Bomb- This is another one of the slightly cheaper bath bombs this year, it smells very sweet and fruity, it reminds me of sherbet! He's called splashing Santa because his golden boots fizz and make him dash around the bath. It contains orange flower absolute and Mandarin oil but I don't think it smells of orange, it's still very fruity and refreshing!
£2.95/ $5.25

- Cinders Bath Bomb- This little Amber topped ballistic is everything that represents a cosy night, with its slightly spicy cinnamon and orange scent, it makes any bath more than cosy, topped with vegan popping candy it's like a wood burning fire in a bath bomb! Containing cinnamon leaf oil, this may be small but it's sure to keep you warm!
£2.95/ $4.95

- Peeping Santa Bubble Bar- This adorable little guy is making its first appearance this year, this strawberry scented festive bubble bar is too cute! Crumble this under warm running water for some sweet strawberry scented bubbles and bright red waters, I love the fact it has vegan chocolate chip eyes too! I really like this but I don't think this is too much of a christmassy scent but I still love it!
£3.95/ $6.95

I'm super excited to pick up lots more of the Christmas goodies when they finally come to my local shop! I also can't wait to see the gift sets coming too!

Birchbox October Opening!

It seems like only yesterday I was opening my September Birchbox with excitement and writing all about it as I discovered what the beautifully coloured box had inside. This month I was greeted with a gorgeous pink marble box which inside contained 6 samples snuggled in pink tissue paper, after the love I had for my first  box I was really excited to see how much I love this one. I've found that with every box I receive there are always a few things I swoon for and there is other things that i'm not too bothered by but this box there were quite a few things I really loved and only a couple I wasn't bothered by. I love it when I receive full sized products in these boxes, its such a treat, whether it be Ipsy or Birchbox it feels so good to have full sized goodies! In my October Birchbox I received:

- ModelCo Ultra Long Lasting Lipstick in Stiletto- This was one of my full size treats! Personally I think you can never have enough lipsticks, I'm actually really pleased with the shade I got as I already own lots of soft pinks and wintery dark reds so it's such a nice change to get a really brilliant red. Its richly scented with coconut and offers extra long wear.

- Eyeko Black Magic Mascara-  I wasn't too sure about this when I first saw it, it comes in a tube and I had never heard of this brand, but I was still so excited to try it. If you follow my Instagram I recently posted a picture of me wearing this, it made my eyelashes so long and gave them amazing volume, it is quite pricey especially as it is more expensive than Benefit, my still current favourite but it was such a nice difference to try and I love the tube!

- Number 4 Non- Aerosol Hairspray- I had never heard of this before, I didn't even know this existed but after only a few uses I absolutely LOVE it, It's so nice not to be smothered in a cloud of hairspray and its so precise and holds so well.

- Beauty Protector Protect and Detangle- This is 100% vegan and works on all hair types, it claims it works as such a versatile product for your hair, not only does it protect from heat, it conditions your hair and leaves it feeling silky soft.

- Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentre 24hr Miracle Cream- This is one of the products I wasn't too bothered about, they say that this is supposed to be the ultimate silky finish for your skin with Shea butter and aloe vera, its rich and can be used on any skin type, plus it doubles as a makeup remover!

- Number 4 Lumiere D'hiver Reconstructing Masque- This was a bonus foil sample, which I didnt photography, that I received, its a hair mask which I didn't realize, that could have ended very awkwardly with me applying this to my face! It's super hydrating and helps reconstruct and strengthen hair leaving you with soft and shiny locks!

Think Pink Chat!

As many of you will already know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. As this is something very close to my heart I decided that I wanted to write a post, a small chat, about how you can think pink this month and raise awareness to this horrible disease. Breast cancer affects so many woman as well as men, something many people don't know, which is why it is so important that we are aware of what many people, whether we know them or not, are going through.
In tribute to raising awareness some companies have released products, many of them pink themed, with a donation of the profit going to breast cancer research. I think that this is a beautiful way for companies to help raise money for the research as well as your own donations because without the research there wont be a chance we find a cure, its wonderful to see people come together and support the research and help them get closer to finding the cure. Both Clinique and Estee Lauder have released limited edition breast cancer awareness collections which range from 20%-100% of the of the sales going to breast cancer research. They are not the only brands to be doing this, many other companies have released single products which a percentage of their sales help towards research too.
Breast cancer awareness month isn't all about donating though, as wonderful as it is and as much as it's helping to find the cure, it is also about making people aware of the signs and symptoms of breast cancer and how discovering it early could save so many lives. So many people loose their battle with cancer every day, its so important to do a regular breast check for lumps or anything that doesn't feel right and see your doctor immediately.  So this month, be aware more than anything, if you can donate that is amazing, if you can't then just share the awareness, its something that should be talked about, there is so much people don't know or that they are not aware of that could help  themselves or a loved one. So Think Pink this October. ♥

Lush Rosie Gift Opening!

I love rose scented things, some people can find it quite an over whelming but I love it! I couldn't wait to get my hands on the Lush Rosie gift set which has everything a rose lover could want! For starters how can you resist the beautiful wrapping paper that the gift box is wrapped in, with the beautiful shimmering humming birds and roses all beautifully tied together with a pink ribbon. When you lift up the lid of the box you are surrounded by the sweet heaven,y rose scent that transforms your surrounding to a bed of roses!

5 beautiful and heavenly scented gifts awaited me under the floral scented goodness:

♥ Rose Jam Shower Gel- 100ml- Made with rose oil, rose absolute, argan oil and geranium this is my favourite shower get from Lush! It smells heavenly, very sweet and floral and lathers up amazingly. Rose Jam is a limited edition product that is only available at Christmas time but is available all year round in this gift set!

♥ Rose Jam Bubbleroon- Similar to the shower jel this is made with rose oil, rose absolute and Shea butter. This smells exactly like the showers jel but contains shea butter which leaves your skin feeling amazingly soft! This is available all year round in stores if you need your rose jam fix! I find that cutting mine up allows me to get so many heavenly baths from just one!

Ro's Argan Body Conditioner- 45g- Made with coco butter, rose absolute and argan oil this perfect for hydrating your skin, leaving it soft to touch and smelling sweet. I was really curious to try this, you use it after you have washed your body, simply apply and wash off. As it is a conditioner it doesn't lather and can leave you skin feeling a bit oily but once you have dried your skin just feels soft and hydrated.

♥ Ultra Balm Multi-purpose Balm- This wonder balm is made with jojoba oil and rose wax which means that no matter where or what you use this on is going to be super hydrated! It has a slight rose scent from the rose wax and you can use this on anything from your lips to cracked heels and everything in between! The Uk Rosie gift set doesn't have the ultra balm, instead they have the Tisty Toasty bath bomb which smells very floral and is packed full of real rose buds.

♥ Amandopondo Bubble Bar-  This bubble bar is now only available in the Rosie gift set, it has been discontinued from regular bubble bars. It's made with citrus oil so it has a sweet lemon and rose scent, it bubbles up well and like with all bubble bars if you cut it up you can get so many baths.

I'm in love with everything in the Rosie gift set and I can't wait to bathe in the heavenly rose scented goodies from this.

Lush Sparkly Pumpkin Review!

The amount of Lush Halloween products compared to the winter collection is very small and there isn't a huge amount that I like from it, actually there is only one thing I like from the Halloween collection, hence why I am so excited to get my hands on the winter products but the one thing from the Halloween products that I do like is the Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar!
This is super fruity and fresh, I love the smell of it! Like all my bubble bars, I like to cut them up into pieces then crumble it under running water and it turns your bath into a shimmering orange lagoon and it's perfect for a long soak! It's made with juniper berry, grapefruit and lime oil for a fresh citrus burst of scent. The only thing about this bubble bar is that the glitter goes everywhere! Even just touching it leaves glitter all over my hands! I love this, it's perfect on these cold autumn nights for a relaxing and beautiful bath!

Price- $7.95/£3.65

Autumn Favourites!

I started off doing monthly favourites but I found myself not really getting a chance to use a product enough or enough time to write about it so I decided to write about the products I've loved for the last little while instead!
Seeing as we are in autumn now and it's getting much colder outside, Christmas is just around the corner which I'm so excited about so I know my products are going to change over the new few weeks to things that are much more Christmassy especially as lush winter is about to be released and I'm super excited for that but for now there is a very fruity floral theme to the products I've been using the most recently.

- Zoella "Scrubbing Me Softly" Body Scrub- I love the smell of this, it's very fruity and floral with hints of blueberry and acai it smells heavenly. Its also made with coco butter to leave your skin feeling extra soft. I use this regularly in the shower after a normal shower gel and it's made my skin feel so soft. It's such a great size and you only need a small amount! $14/£7

- The Body Shop Passion Fruit Shower Gel- For me, nothing beats the classics and I think that The Body Shop shower gels are complete classics, they are so simple but I love them, especially the passion fruit on and strawberry! I ended up getting two of these on sale so I'm well stocked up and I don't think they are continuing this scent so I'm glad I grabbed these! They lather up so well I love them! $9/£4

- Lush Rose Jam Shower Jel- This is my favourite shower gel from Lush and I hate the fact that it's only available at Christmas time! I'm excited to pick up a huge bottle of this soon! It's like a huge bunch of roses in a bottle, I don't use this as shower gel I use it more as a bubble bath because it creates lots of bubbles with such a heavenly sweet scent that leaves your skin feeling so soft! $9.95/£4.95

- Lush Chu Chu... I Love You Toothy Tabs- I'd never seen these before until recently and I was quite skeptical about trying them but I was really excited to see what they did, even though it's not great having to chew them up then brush your teeth they leave your breath smelling super sweet of roses and lemon and make your teeth squeeky clean! I definitely want to try others! $4.95/£2.75

- Benefit Roller Lash Mascara- I've been using this mascara for a while now and I still love it, it makes my lashes look amazing and so long, it's quite pricey for a mascara but I think it's worth it, it's great quality and I love what it does for my lashes! $24/£19.50

- Japonesque Velvet Touch Eye Shadow 02- I've been using this festive colour for a while now, I like how it applies and how rich the pigment is, perfect for blending and just add a little bit of colour every day. $12/£5.93
