Lush Honey Bee Bath Bomb!

I love anything honey scented! It's such a yummy smell, I already love every honey scented product lush has to offer including shoot for the stars bath bomb, it's raining men shower gel and honey I washed the kids soap but I had never tried the honey bee bath bomb! Whether I saw it in the shop or online I just seemed to pass over it and I have only just discovered how amazing this smells! I had the package open on my desk for a while and the room was filled with this most amazing honey sweet scent that made me so excited to use it in the bath! Even though I'm not a huge fan of the colour yellow, believe me this turns your bath very yellow, I still loved using it! I wish they had a honey bubble bar that would pair perfectly with this as I ended up using It's Raining Men shower gel for bubbles which was perfectly fine with me as it was a caramel/honey cocktail of yumminess! It smelt amazing, so creamy and sweet! One of my favourite bath bombs and I plan to get many more! I feel honey obsessed!

Perfect Palettes!

I recently realized that I don't own many eye shadow palettes and I decided that I need to get some more but I also realized how much I love the ones I have! None of them are amazing, or high end brands but I love the colours that they are and the pigment that they have! I tend to wear much more neutral light colours but my palettes do have some much darker crazy colours and as silly as it seems i'm never sure how to wear colours such as dark purples so I tend to stick to the light ones as I find them easier to blend and work with!
The first palette I have that I love is No7 Smoky Rose Quad- I love that these eye shadows have a metallic finish they are so shimmery and pretty, I also love the fact that these go on really smoothly but I find that you do have to keep applying it to build up the colour as it goes on very lightly! I use the cream and light pink a lot but the purples make me very nervous especially the darker one which actually looks like dark purple but when I did a swatch it was like a charcoal so I feel like I might be able to use it as a dark charcoal which I feel good about using for a smoky evening look!

The second palette I have is No7 Sultry Eyes- I love this palette, not only are the colours so pretty and really really shimmery! I would say that these are more shimmery than metallic and they have a lot of glitter in them, if I use this one a lot I find the palette gets covered in glitter and when I apply it I wish I had those little under eye stickers that catch the eye shadow dust because it goes every where!! Like I said before the darker purple I don't tend to use but I love the other colours! I also love the fact that this is a rectangular compact with all the colours in a row rather than squished together in a compact!

Lastly I have the Fearne From Dusk to Dawn Night Eyes- I actually only use the gold colour in this palette because its amazing for blending and even though I love the bronze and blue i'm too nervous to use them! They are glittery but the blue one is super glittery!! I think my favorite thing about this palette is the way it looks, it has the cutest floral print on the front and the little beetles imprinted in the shadows and the fact its rectangular just make this too cute!!

The Most Random Perfect Friday!

I had the day off today and the weather outside was beautiful, so once I had finished sorting through emails and other work bits and bobs I decided that I would take this bit of spare time to go and sit in the sunshine in my garden. It was so nice to sit there with the heat beating down listening to the birds chirping and the trees swaying in the warm breeze.
In my garden I have lots of fruit and veggies growing and they looked so full and fresh in the sunshine, there are strawberries and mint growing as well as other goodies! As I watched a wild bunny hop across the grass and chewing on dandelions I was so thankful for the complete peace and quite to be able to relax, to not have to think about what I needed to be doing but just to be happy and it was so wonderful! It reminded me that I should take more time just to relax, everyone should!

Freshly Washed Brushes!

I know that I am one of those people who can be really bad at regularly washing my brushes and I know there are lots of other people who are bad at doing it regularly too but I also know that there are people out there who religiously wash their brushes and those people are ever constant reminders to me that I NEED to wash my brushes more often! It is really important to keep them clean so that your skin stays clean and healthy, using brushes that have old makeup on them is really bad for your skin and very unhealthy! It is also really important to keep them clean because they can carry germs and bacteria which isn't good for your skin at all!

I start my brush washing off by filling up a sink with warm water, adding a few drops of soap and soaking my brushes in it, I use 'Johnson's Head to Toe Baby Wash' to was my brushes, I just find that it is really gentle on my brushes but gives a good deep clean! I then take my brush and put a few drops of soap in the bristles and swirl it around in the palm of my hand, i'm usually quite rough when I do this because good quality brushes can handle it and it gets them really clean because, just like on a paint brush, all the makeup builds up at the base of the brush and can be hard to clean out. I normally use powder foundation and I find that it clogs up my brush really quickly if I don't clean them and it gets really gross! After rinsing the soap from the brush under running water I then shake them like crazy and rough dry them with a towel and as silly as it sounds I do blow dry my brushes quickly to stop them being damp and smelling bad, trust me it really works!! I then just leave them to dry completely which means a happy face now!

Hard Candy Review!

I had never heard of Hard Candy until I popped into Walmart one day and was drawn in by their amazing nail polishes which were not only bright but amazingly sparkly and in so many colours! I was really impressed with them! Firstly their prices are really good, they are not super cheap but they are also not really really expensive which is amazing considering how good the quality of their products are. I originally bought a nail polish that was a green/ blue glitter polish which I loved even though it was really hard to remove. This time when I went in there I wanted to try some of their makeup, I didn't really know what I was looking for I just thought that I would go for something if it caught my eye!

Eventually I decided to go with their ' Sheer Envy Primer- Ultra Light Formula'. Now, I had never used a primer before this so when I saw this on the shelf it made me think that maybe I should give one a try. They had a huge selection of ones that did different things and seeing as I didn't really know what I wanted from a primer I decided to go with the one that prolongs makeup wear and evens skin tone! I've used this a few times and I really like it, now i'm not sure if its really necessary because I use my serum and moisturizer then this primer and maybe i'm doing it wrong but i think it works and because I use powder makeup it does make it last longer especially on my eyes! So i'm really liking this so far!

I also decided to get their 'So Baked Bronzer' I also had never bought bronzer before this so it was nice to try some new things! I got this in 129 Tiki which looks really light, partly because I was nervous of getting one too dark so I went with this one and even thought it's light I think its giving me a nice pre- summer glow when I wear it. I found it really easy to apply and the pigment is so beautiful to look at!!

Summer Sandals!

Even though my shoe collection is ever growing and should probably come to a halt sometime soon I can't resist adding more sandals for this summer! I decided that ASOS would be the perfect place to look, that way I can see lots of different brands in one place!

My favourite pair I found were the ASOS Feather Anklet Sandals, I think these look so dainty and pretty, the attached anklet is just the perfect amount of detail! I love that these are a camel/sand colour because I find that this colour pairs really well with lots of different outfits, whether its with denim or white these match amazingly! These are such a versatile shoe, perfect for fun festival days or a stroll along the beach!

The second pair I fell in love with were ASOS Funder Leather Sandals. I think these are so adorable, i'm a sucker for girly things hence why I thought these were perfect, you can't go wrong with pairing bows and pearls together!I love that these are a super neutral colour because I can wear these with everything, they are perfect to wear out to dinner with a cute dress or skirt! LOVE these!

Helping children with glamjulz!

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day but there are many children in the world don't get breakfast which means they are sent to school on an empty stomach without the nutrition their bodies and brains need to learn and grow! Every child deserves the opportunity to do their best and be filled with knowledge! The wonderful people at glamjulz have teamed up with Halton Food For Thought to create beautiful bracelets to help raise money and awareness for this amazing charity and to help lots and lots of children, they are absolutely beautiful and I love them!

Each one of these bracelets are beautifully designed and made with the best quality glass beads then finished with the perfect pewter apple charm, they make beautiful gifts for friends, family or teachers or you can stack them up and pair them with your favourite outfit! My favourite ones are the black and white, rainbow and pink ones but they come in a huge selection of colours! The greatest thing about these bracelets is that $5 from each one of these bracelets goes towards starting these children's day off with the right nutrition they need to learn, it only take $1 to feed each child which means that you are helping 5 children with every bracelet you purchase! They are $25 each and glamjulz is offering free shipping too!!

You can find more information and purchase these beautiful bracelets at the link below along with other gorgeous pieces, even though only the bracelets are included in helping Halton Food For Thought, glamjulz also has a beautiful collection of other pieces which are all handmade in Canada!

Top Tips To Dealing With Stress!
Whether it's your job, a broken laptop or preparing for an exam, everyone is dealing with different stressful problems and everyone has different ways of dealing with them, some of you know how to deal with stress and some of you may not really know how to deal with it so I'm going to give you some good tips on how to deal with stress!

This week I have had the most stressful week dealing with a broken laptop which means no editing for me and even though I know there are worse problems out there that people are dealing with but this was just causing me so much frustration and stress! Some of the ways I found really helpful to deal with my stress this week were:
Take a walk, try and pic somewhere that's interesting and relaxing like a woodland walk by a stream where you can just sit and watch the water and allow your mind to just unwind and you can just have space!
Take a refreshing shower, if you are having a moment where you feel over stressed and maybe overheated and angry then a shower can help you cool down and I always end up singing away in the shower which makes me happy!
Try and see the positives in the situation, think about how this is going to help you, try to see to the end of the stress and how happy you will feel that you dealt with the stress and got through it!
Talk it through, call your best friend or someone you are close to and just talk it through, I'm very close to my mum and so I decided to call her and chat and she really helped me calm down and see that everything can be worked out!
Try and distract yourself with work or other activities, it makes you see the situation differently and gives you a chance to cool down and collect your thoughts!

What I learnt this week is that as bad as the problem seems and no matter how much stress it is causing me things can be dealt with and if you give things time you can clear your head and think clearly and work out how to deal with different situations! I hope reading this can help you if you are feeling stressed and don't know which way to turn or how to de-stress!

Perfect Pampering!

After a long stressful day or even a week my favourite thing to do is set some time aside for myself to have some pamper time, whether it be with a friend or on my own I think it is really important to take time to myself to de-stress and relax!

The following top tip list is what I think makes pamper time perfect!

1... A bath! I absolutely love having baths especially in the winter when it's cold and you can have a really nice cosy one but seeing as the weather is really warm at the moment a cooler bath is still a great way to cool down and relax! I find that no bath is complete without a bath bomb, lush bath bombs are my go to choice just because they have so much selection and I have never really found many places that sell bath bombs! I really like to either use a bubble bar or bubble bath to create mountains of bubbles in my bath and I like to make sure the scents coordinate or create a heavenly cocktail of scents!!

2... A face mask! Whether it be a peeling face mask or clay one I love them, they don't have to be expensive either you could pick a single use one up from your local super market or high street shop or you could but a more expensive one that has more uses in it, I tend to choose both because I like to have a selection of different smells and do different things for your skin!

3... Deep conditioning! This is my favourite beauty secret, when I take time to have a pamper session or even when I think my hair just needs it, I like to wash my hair with just shampoo then towel dry I then apply a large amount of conditioner to my hair and clip it up and pop on a shower cap, I like to leave this for about an 1-2 hours or even longer if I have the time! I then wash this off and my hair is silky smooth and so soft! I tend to just use any conditioner I have so its super easy and my hair feels amazing after!

4... Candles! When taking time to relax I think it is essential to pick a candle that you are loving the smell of and light it, whether I am having a bath or taking some time out to relax I always love to light my favourite candles!

5... Music! Whether I'm laying in the bath trying to unwind or just needing to chill out I love to put on music,  I have some apps that have spa and relaxation music which I love to put on when I'm going to have a bath and just really need to unwind!

No matter what you are doing or how busy you are it is super important to take time to relax and pamper yourself, everyone needs time to themselves to de-stress!

Enjoy pampering!! X

Soap...Soap...Soap!

I absolutely love soap bars, not only do they smell amazing they also look so pretty and I love to either fill a pretty jar with all the different ones or put them in charming little soap dishes (which I need to buy!!) I was so excited to receive some soapy goodies from Soap Stories, their soap bars are so pretty, layered with all different colours and smells so heavenly I wanted to dance around... A lot!! Seeing as I absolutely love floral scents I was so excited to have cherry blossom, freesia and lavender which I can't stop using especially the freesia one!
Using soap bars in the shower always seem to leave my skin a little dry so it was perfect that I was able to use the vanilla aromatherapy multi purpose cream that I received in the Natural Shine Nail Kit all over my body which was followed by  an at home manicure using the amazing cuticle oil in this kit... I had never bothered using a cuticle oil before but I didn't realize how dry my nails can get followed by a good file, buff and shine!
Even though this kit is a tad pricey it makes the perfect gift or treat to yourself! I'm very excited to try some more goodies from Soap Stories and if you want to have the perfect pamper day then take a look at all these goodies and more on their website!
